DW and I were walking through the Windy Hill Open Space Preserve in the Santa Cruz mountains. I looked down and saw this large maple leaf lying on the ground.
It called out to me to create and image. I always feel a sense of nostalgia when i look at this photograph. I remember all the times I appreciated the wonderful colors of autumn.
Dean Birinyi is a residential and commercial interiors and architecture photographer based in San Francisco, CA. I began my career as a photographer in April of 1986. My first job as a photographer was photographing baby portraits in K-Mart Department Stores. I loved the work but not the job.
